Sarah Ackerley
Sarah Ackerley grew up in a family of seven children. Her parents had a reputation for giving books as gifts for all holidays, and so Sarah had no choice but to read them. Fortunately, she loved to read and she developed a fascination with picture books that she never lost. Patrick the Somnambulist is her first published book.

Leslie Carmichael
Leslie Carmichael writes books, short stories and articles. Leslie’s first book for young readers, Lyranel’s Song, was published by Blooming Tree Press (Austin, TX) in 2005. Her second children’s book, The Amulet of Amon-Ra, is to be published in 2009. Her other publication credits include Storyteller; The Journal of Dracula Studies; The Canadian Quilter; Crossroads; and WestWord. She also writes comic interactive mystery plays for Pegasus Performances.
Leslie lives in Calgary, Alberta, with her husband, three children and a varying number of cats.

Carole Gerber is a poet and children’s book author living in Powell, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus. She has previously worked as a high school and middle school English teacher, an adjunct professor of journalism at Ohio State, a marketing director, editor of a company magazine, a member of creative teams at an ad agency and a hospital, a contributing editor to a computer magazine, and as a freelance writer of elementary textbooks.
