The company is named after an inspiring woman, Mildred Bloom, who in her ninth decade continues to encourage and create hope in all who are fortunate enough to know her.

Miriam Hees began her business plan for Blooming Tree Press some twelve years ago, and has been a writer longer than that. Running a busy small press is a dream come true for her. "A perfect story is like a perfect sunset", she says. " You never tire of it".

With the great Blooming Tree Press staff she has, Miriam occasionally gets the chance to quilt, gourmet cook, spend time with her family and keep up with a very energetic 88 year old mother.
